A call for Papers, Plans and Policies for an independent Scotland. A concept conference based on the assumption of an independent Scotland by 2030.

Taking place in Stirling, with the venue to be confirmed.

We are looking for papers covering the following areas:

• A Scottish Job Guarantee CONFIRMED
• Fiscal Policy Framework, including fiscal rules, fiscal authority and an adoption functional finance approach CONFIRMED
• Scotland’s Wellbeing Economy Policy Framework CONFIRMED
• Currency in an independent Scotland, including monetary operations of a new currency, securing reserves, exchange rate policies
• Decommissioning nuclear liabilities in Scotland
• Dealing with UK debt
• Monetary Policy and Institutions, including the proposed structure, mandate and design of a new central bank
• Health, education, care
• Pensions savings and investments
• Tax, company governance and law
• Trade and broader economic and social relationships with, for example, EFTA, EU, UN, Nato
